Friday evening. Enjoyed the longest shower possible. Purified from all the worries and unhappiness in life. There I was, putting on make-up, inspired by Michelle Phan's latest clubbing tutorial. Tried on a few dresses before getting ready with black leggings, white top and black cardigan. Accessorized with black and red bracelets and sparkling earrings, I cheerfully slipped on a pair of beige heels with little brown ribbons, grabbed a brown bag filled girls' stuff and walked down the street, smiling to the world.
And there he was, Steph, giving a final touch-up to his make-up. As if he needed it to look more gorgeous in white long pants, dark shirt and shiny black shoes. Can't recall when was the last time I saw him so dressed up. Either way, we knew beforehand we'd look perfectly complementary without any pre-arrangement, and fabulous enough to impress (at least) someone tonight. He even adjusted the length of the ribbon at the back of my top before we left his place. Adorable perfectionist - he always is.
Basic and class. There we were on the way to Holland V for a long-waited (non-candlelight) dinner. Not only with each other, of course - we'd rather enjoy ourselves in shorts and tees, playing God of War on PS3 while finishing a pizza. Arriving at Al Dente Trattoria, I spotted the special man already sitting there, taking a look at the menu (so our reservation wasn't really necessary, but never mind, we played safe).
Good evening... Smiles.
Looks up. Hello... Smiles.
I'm Hailey... Shakes hand.
Hi, I'm Steph! Shakes hand.
Why did he have to appear so cute, friendly and extra-knowledgeable as always? It'd been almost one year since we last saw him and he didn't change a tiny bit, inside-out. Certainly, such an experienced expertise didn't need much time to see what qualities the two of us had to deliver. He liked the way I emailed and the ways we carried ourselves as well. Kudos to Steph for the fairly quick ice-breaking chit-chat, the conversation followed so smoothly we forgot the concept of time. Though you might think we were supposed to compete against each other in a battle of impression winning, we'd say it was in fact the opposite. Blame it on the Scorpio connection (probably), we kept the ball rolling so naturally there was no need for a spoken strategy to harmonize. Plus good Italian food and ambiance, the evening couldn't have been more enjoyable - especially when the bill was insisted to be singly settled by our guest (figure not disclosed).
Further details will be kept to ourselves. No cam-whoring whatsoever, either. Wisely use your imagination or wish that you'll be lucky enough to see us glammed up exactly the same way. Good luck. ♥

We are sophisticated socialites (sometimes).
