Her

Are emotions really powerful that they drive people nuts? She's never believed it would apply to her. At least until very recently. It's not like her life had been filled with silk and roses before it happened, but she had managed to overcome negative feelings without much effort. So what exactly was the enormous event that pulled her down to the deepest point she has ever experienced? She hasn't found the appropriate answer yet. Splitting up all the factors that exert stress on her life at the moment, each does not bother her that much. It could be the combination of all, or something that she can only feel but cannot put into words, that has been giving her body the post-fever sensations and her mind the ready-to-cry-upon-the-lightest-trigger mode. Totally undesired and irritating, especially when concentration for exam revision is much needed.

Him

In the midst of confusion, worries and doubts, she realized that her thoughts never drifted away from one person. He is always the significant other, and is even more important at the most sensitive points of time. So important that the chaos of thoughts about him never stop fighting rigorously to occupy her brain, even in her sweet dreams, or nightmares. The more she banned herself from reaching him, the more she was tempted to pour her broken pieces on him, hoping he'll glue them back and lift her up. Could she have forgotten that she was never supposed to be a dependent cry-baby? She placed too much weight on his shoulders perhaps, though human nature could be blamed for making people selfish once in a while. And now, she's sitting here - puzzled and hurt because he's hurt - wondering what could have been right or wrong or not to be mentioned at all. She feels like a stone with emotions, the most intense being missing him.

Them

This bullshit situation, she doesn't know how long this will last. He isn't sure for himself, either. Let's just hope it will be better for both of them, for him. It's heart-breaking for her to see how she has dragged him down like this, yet is incapable of bringing the mood back. How awesome. Oh well, there can be countless dramatic chapters of love between two individuals to reach a closest-to-perfect harmony. Or undesirably, a dead end. Guess the rest of this chapter is for us to know, not for you to find out.
