Olympic Beijing Mystery?

Today I sent everyone in my msn list this instant message, which I'd received and translated earlier on.

- 05.12 Earthquake ['Earth' disaster]
Now if u notice:

Some more 08.08.08 Olympic Bejing's going to start.
And from the earthquake day, there are 88 days left to go for Olympic event.

First of all, Chinese as well as many Eastern cultures believes that three factors, Sky, Earth, and Human are strongly correlated.
Secondly, 8 is considered a very lucky number. Maybe that's why the date 08.08.08 was chosen to start Olympic Beijing event. However, is the triple-8 from the disasters' dates proving something opposite? And also the distance of 88 days from the terrible earthquake?

Isn't it a signal of 'displeasure' from God?
Or all of these were the 'price to pay' for such a significant event?
Or it's a bad sign that the event's not gonna happen smoothly?

I don't know. You don't know. We all don't know.
I wonder who's the first one finding out this super coincidence.
