Today I sent everyone in my msn list this instant message, which I'd received and translated earlier on.
Hey all, check out the recent disasters in China:
- 01.25 Snowy Storm ['Sky' disaster]
- 03.14 Train accident ['Human' disaster]
- 05.12 Earthquake ['Earth' disaster]
Now if u notice:
* 1 + 2 + 5 = 8
* 3 + 1 + 4 = 8
* 5 + 1 + 2 = 8
Some more 08.08.08 Olympic Bejing's going to start.
And from the earthquake day, there are 88 days left to go for Olympic event.
Coincident? Super coincident? Or ...?
Scary...
What do you think?
First of all, Chinese as well as many Eastern cultures believes that three factors, Sky, Earth, and Human are strongly correlated.
Secondly, 8 is considered a very lucky number. Maybe that's why the date 08.08.08 was chosen to start Olympic Beijing event. However, is the triple-8 from the disasters' dates proving something opposite? And also the distance of 88 days from the terrible earthquake?
Isn't it a signal of 'displeasure' from God?
Or all of these were the 'price to pay' for such a significant event?
Or it's a bad sign that the event's not gonna happen smoothly?
I don't know. You don't know. We all don't know.
I wonder who's the first one finding out this super coincidence.

Anyway, I found this meaningful clip on YouTube about the earthquake aid in China.
The deeply touching lyrics of the song 'Bye bye' by Mariah Carey really fits the dreadful images.
The fears, the pains, the tears, the efforts...
Just watch and you'll really sense it.
Here's the poster's message:
55,740 people died from the earthquake in Sichuan and neighboring provinces of Shaanxi, Gansu, and Yunnan and the death toll could reach far higher as the search and rescue effort continued. It was the worst natural disaster hitting the region in the last three decades. The damage to the property in the vast region is beyond estimation.
